Festival Europeo Rievocazioni Storiche “Città di Venezia”

On St. Mark’ Square, before and after the traditional “Angel’s Flight” the VII edition of the European Festival of Historical Re-enactment “Città di Venezia” displays under the High Patronage of the President of European Diplomatic Committee, the Prince Wilhelm Hohenzollern von Preussen. Theme of the Festival is : “1492 : discovering the New World”. On the main stage of St. Mark : dances, music, shows, jugglers, and scene of life from the last of XIV and the beginning of XVII Century, displayed by re-enactors from all Europe.

After the ceremony, a traditional Sunday Lunch in the Hotel Danieli. A wonderful hotel rich of tradition and courtesy, designed in the late 14th Century to meet the demands of Europe’s travelling nobility. Dress Code: costume or formal dress.

In the Antico Oratorio S. Filippo Neri alla Fava, an afternoon of amusements for the friends of Carnival accompanied by music, dances with a dance masters and malicious games of the 18th Century. Hot chocolate with cakes at 4.30 pm and a cocktail will be served at 6.30 p.m. Under the theme of the cheerfulness of the Carnival, you will enjoy the private atmosphere of an afternoon where everybody meets everybody and you will find easy to make new friendship. Dress Code: costume.
